Check-In Procedure
- While each park attempts to accommodate your exact spot request, the on-site manager has the ultimate decision for spot placement.
Camping Policy
- Camping is permitted only in designated areas on LCRA land.
- No person shall camp on LCRA Land for more than five consecutive days or on multiple LCRA.
- Lands for more than 10 days within any calendar month without reservations.
Alcohol Policy
- Please drink responsibly.
Campfire Use Policy
- Campfires are permitted only in designated fire rings or barbeque pits.
Hunting & Trapping Restrictions
- Hunting and trapping are not permitted.
Fireworks & Explosives Policy
- Possession or discharge of any kind of fireworks or explosives is prohibited.
Emergency Restrictions
- In the case of extreme flooding, water contamination, or other emergency or natural disaster, the General Manager is authorized to declare restrictions on the use of all or any portion of LCRA Water as deemed necessary and convenient for purposes of public health, safety and welfare.
- No person shall engage in any activity that violates such restrictions.
Hunting
- Hunting is prohibited under Chapter 62 of the Texas Parks and Wildlife Code.
- No person shall hunt or shoot a firearm, bow or crossbow on or over LCRA Water, except for bow fishing as noted below.
- This restriction shall not apply north of Falls Creek on Lake Buchanan.
Bow Fishing
- Bow fishing is allowed on the Highland Lakes with these restrictions.
- Bow fishing must take place from a boat.
- Bow fishing is not allowed from the bank, within 75 feet of any marked designated swimming area, within 50 feet of any boat dock, pier or restricted or residential areas, or while wading.
Archery Policy
- Crossbows, draw-locking mechanisms and arrows designed for flight through the air are prohibited; only hand-pulled and hand-released equipment is allowed.
- Archery equipment is prohibited on LCRA Land.
Restrictions on Wildlife Baiting and Trapping
- No person shall place poisons, salt blocks, feed, or mechanical devices such as traps and snares on LCRA Land.
Swimming Guidelines
- Swimming is permitted but not within 50 feet of any boat ramp.
- Swimming is at your own risk; there are no lifeguards.
- Portable swimming pools or slip 'n slides are prohibited.
Pet Policy
- Please clean up and properly dispose of all pet waste.
- Protect pets and wildlife by keeping pets on leash in designated camping and picnicking areas; outside designated camping and picking areas, pets must be kept under their owner's direct control.

- In no case shall a pet be allowed to constitute a nuisance.
Quiet Hours
- Respect quiet hours from 10 p.m.-6 a.m.
- No person shall cause, create or contribute to excessive noise, including generators and amplified music on LCRA Land, between the hours of 10 p.m. and 6 a.m.
- Noise that unreasonably disturbs other visitors is considered excessive.
Littering Policy
- Thank you for not littering.
- No person shall litter or contaminate any area of LCRA Land or LCRA Water.
Vehicles
- Only licensed authorized vehicles are permitted in the parks.
- All motor vehicles operating on LCRA Land shall be confined to designated roads and parking areas, except in designated special-use areas.
- All motor vehicles operated on LCRA Land shall be licensed for street use and operated by persons with valid driver’s licenses.
- LCRA may issue a permit to allow the operation of utility terrain vehicles (UTV), all-terrain vehicles (ATV), recreational off-highway vehicles (ROV) and golf carts on designated LCRA Land.
- Permitted vehicles shall be operated by persons with a valid driver’s license.
- All motor vehicles shall be operated in a reasonable and prudent manner not to exceed the posted speed limit.
Trash Disposal Policy
- Park visitors may dispose of garbage and waste only in trash receptacles provided by LCRA.
- In areas where there are no trash receptacles provided, visitors shall collect and remove their waste from LCRA
Land for lawful disposal.
Horse Access Restrictions
- No horses shall be allowed in designated camping or picnicking areas unless dedicated equine facilities are available at the park.
Entrance Fees
- Adults – $5
- Children (12 and younger) – Free
- Seniors (65 and older), Military and Disabled – $2
- Free with LCRA Parks Pass
Park Use
- No person shall enter or remain in parks operated by LCRA or use LCRA services or equipment without paying applicable fees.
Burn Ban and Fire Restrictions
- LCRA enforces burn bans declared by local counties.
- In addition, the General Manager may declare a ban on all fires on LCRA Land during extreme fire hazard conditions.
- No person shall build or maintain a fire on LCRA Land when a burn ban declaration is in effect.
- No person shall at any time burn garbage, brush or other refuse on LCRA Land.
Campground Disclaimer
- No person shall place, construct, erect or occupy any temporary or permanent structure for human habitation or other purposes on LCRA Land.
- This provision does not apply to the use of normal camping equipment.
- No person shall install or construct an electric, water, wastewater or other utility line or service on, over or under LCRA Land.
- Persons who are intoxicated or are causing a nuisance, annoyance or alarm are not allowed on LCRA Land.
Cancellation Policy
MODERATE
If the guest cancels at least 1 week before your check-in day and time, they will receive a full refund (minus Spot2Nite convenience or resort fees). If the guest cancels within the 1 week before check-in, there will be no refund.
