Sitting on 40 and a half acres, the camp features a state-of-the-art, environmentally sustainable Science and Technology Lodge, Digital Media Center, Troop House, and rustic camping units with Adirondack cabins or platform tents. Registration and Arrival
Check-In Procedure
- Campsite Check-In Time: 3 p.m.
- Campsite Check-Out Time: 2 p.m.
- While each park attempts to accommodate your exact spot request, the on-site manager makes the ultimate decision regarding spot placement.
Liability
- The Renter agrees to release from liability GSCB, its employees, and volunteers from and against all liability, damage, expenses, suits, claims, or any other judgments arising from any injury to persons or property, loss of life by anyone in and about the premises.
- The Renter shall, at its own cost and expense, defend all suits or actions brought against Girl Scouts of the Chesapeake Bay, its employees, or volunteers for injuries, loss of life, or damages to property during the period of use.
- Renters who are non-Girl Scout members shall furnish, at their own expense, a Comprehensive General Liability Insurance for $1,000,000. The insurance is to include liability insurance and Broad Form Contractual Liability Insurance. (Usually included in the Comprehensive policy.)
- GSCB, its employees, and volunteers must be included as additional insureds.
- The certificate of insurance must state that the insurance provided by the renter is primary and noncontributory with respect to any other insurance available to GSCB, its employees, and volunteers.
- All certificates of insurance are to state that at least 60 days written notice by registered mail will be provided to the council before the cancellation of, non-renewal of, or any material change in the required insurance.
Girl Scout Groups
- All individuals associated with a Girl Scout Group staying overnight at a Girl Scouts of the Chesapeake Bay property must be registered and background checked.
- Girls - Active Girl Scout Membership
- Adults - Active Girl Scout Membership and approved backgrounds based on your individual Girl Scout Council's policies.
- The Girl Scout Group must maintain the required adult-to-girl ratios for outings, camping, and travel, as defined by Safety Activity Check Points.
Please make note of the following sleeping arrangement expectations;
- Each participant has her own bed.
- Parent/guardian permission must be obtained if girls are to share a bed.
- Youth members and adults do not share a bed; some councils make exceptions for family members.
- It is not mandatory that an adult sleep in the sleeping area with youth members.
- If an adult female does share the sleeping area, there must always be at least two unrelated adult females present.
- On trips where male volunteers are part of the group, it is not appropriate for them to sleep in the same space as girl members.
Parking
- One vehicle may be parked at the unit.
- All other vehicles should be parked in the designated parking areas.
- No vehicles are allowed to be parked on the road or in a way that would obstruct road access in case of an emergency.
Prohibited Items
- Substances: Controlled substances such as illegal drugs, tobacco, or e-cigarettes are not permitted on GSCB properties at any time.
- Alcohol is not permitted at any event where Girl Scouts are present.
- Alcohol is permitted for adult-only events, such as Volunteer Getaway Weekends.
- Weapons: knives are permitted on the property for knife safety education and outdoor-related use.
- Automatic weapons such as guns, including but not limited to potato, pellet, BB, paintball, shotguns, or handguns.
- Personal sports equipment is not permitted. This includes but is not limited to: Archery, Small Crafts, Climbing Gear, Snowmobiles, and Bicycles.
- Fishing equipment is an exception, as GSCB does not provide fishing equipment.
- Pets: Service animals are permitted on the property and must be cleaned up after. Failure to do so will result in a fine for your group.
Facilitated Activities
- Several activities available on GSCB camp properties require a trained facilitator.
- These activities must be reserved, paid for, and have a certified facilitator scheduled. Facilitators may be provided by the group or coordinated on their behalf, by GSCB.
- These activities include Archery, Hatchet, Slingshot, Swimming, Small Craft, High Challenge Course, and Zipline (Camp Todd only).
Fire Circles
- All groups, GSCB members or non, can use the fire circles at each campsite.
- Upon completion of the fire, the group should follow the instructions related to extinguishing the fire, disposing of ashes, and caring for their campsite after the fire.
- Failure to comply with these procedures may result in a fine.

- Outside wood is not permitted on GSCB property.
- This includes but is not limited to bundles of wood, scrap wood, salvage, and pallets.
- There are wood piles on-site for usage.
Cancellation Policy
MODERATE
If the guest cancels at least 1 week before your check-in day and time, they will receive a full refund (minus Spot2Nite convenience or resort fees). If the guest cancels within the 1 week before check-in, there will be no refund.
