Established in 1948, Camp Dearborn, the city’s unique 626-acre recreational retreat in Milford, offers a wide range of overnight camping options, including rustic cabins and resort cabins, as well as sites for camper-provided tents or trailers. Camp Dearborn’s exceptional amenities include: a half-mile of sandy beach, athletic fields and tennis courts, shaded picnic areas, swimming and fishing lakes, a concession stand, and a 27-hole championship golf course.

Registration and Arrival
Check-In Procedure
- Campsite check-in time: 1 p.m.
- Campsite check-out time: 12 p.m.
- While each park attempts to accommodate your exact spot request, the on-site manager makes the ultimate decision regarding spot placement.
Guests
- Must purchase a day pass and park in designated areas.
- Pick-ups and drop-offs are permitted only in the office parking lot, not at campsites.
- Handicapped guests can visit a campsite but must purchase a day pass.
- Have no pool access.
- May not bring pets.
- Guests must exit by 10 p.m. or buy a new day pass if staying overnight.
Emergencies
- In an emergency, call 911 first.
- To reach Michigan State Police, ask the dispatcher to contact the Camp Dearborn patrol.
- For non-emergencies, call or text 248.684.6000, and we will respond as soon as possible.
- Note that staff are limited at night, and some issues may be addressed the following morning.
Campsites
- Only one camping unit and a maximum of six campers are permitted on any site.
- Any site discovered to have more than one camping unit will be assessed an additional $55
- daily fee, and the additional camping unit(s) must be removed.
- Minors must remain at their assigned campsite from 11 p.m. to 8 a.m.
- Only approved fire pits may be used, and fires must be completely extinguished before campers leave the site or retire for the evening.
- Burning trash is prohibited.
- All campsites are back-in only.
- Stays at Primitive and electric-only sites are limited to a 14-day maximum.
- Tents are not permitted on full hook-up sites.
- If discovered, tent campers will be moved to an electric-only site without receiving a refund of credit.
- Reservations for campsites that are unoccupied or unused within 12 hours of check-in will be cancelled and a cancellation fee assessed.
Pet Policy
- Only allowed at specified sites, and limited to a maximum of two per site.
- Pets must be on a six-foot leash at all times, and waste must be cleaned up.
Prohibited Activities
- Smoking in any cabin or cottage.
- Loud noise after 11 p.m.
- Using fireworks or guns.
- Underage drinking or the use of illegal drugs.
- Consumption of alcohol anywhere other than a campsite.
- Use of a motorized vehicle other than a truck, automobile, or motorcycle.
Swimming
- Swimming is permitted only in designated areas.
- Swimmers do so at their own risk.
- No lifeguards are on duty.
Vehicles/Bikes
- No motorized vehicles, except cars, trucks, and licensed motorcycles.
- Bikes must be parked in designated racks.
Traffic
- Speed limit is 15 mph; follow all traffic laws within the park.
Vandalism/Decorum
- Respectful behavior is expected at all times.
- Drunkenness, profanity, fighting, indecent exposure, or any other deviant or disorderly conduct is strictly prohibited.
- Harassment of other campers or staff members or destruction of property will result in eviction and possible subsequent legal action.
Campground Disclaimers
- The Camp manager and staff can refuse entry or evict campers for violating rules or engaging in objectionable behavior.
- Campers must be 21 or older to rent a site and have an adult on-site during their stay.
- ID is required for all campers.
- Campsite reservations can be revoked if a police report is filed.
- Guests assume all risks associated with activities, injuries, or property damage during their stay.
- Camp Dearborn is not liable for theft, accidents, or property loss.
- Parents are financially responsible for damages caused by themselves, their guests, or their children.
Cancellation Policy
MODERATE
If the guest cancels at least 1 week before your check-in day and time, they will receive a full refund (minus Spot2Nite convenience or resort fees). If the guest cancels within the 1 week before check-in, there will be no refund.
