Charlottenburgh Park

Located 19 km east of the City of Cornwall, at 19788 County Rd 2, in the Township of South Glengarry, Charlottenburgh Park encompasses a total of 234.7 acres of green space. The park features a diverse environment with many types of ecosystems including white pine and spruce plantations, a mixed hardwood forest, Class 2 Provincially Significant wetlands, Lake St. Francis and its tributaries, meadows and a Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) managed forest area. The park is already located along a frequently traveled heritage highway with its accompanying bicycle path. With year round access, this site is able to offer swimming, walking, jogging, running, hiking, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. For those with a more sedentary agenda, the scenery is magnificent and wildlife abounds. This site is quickly developing into a large outdoor "classroom" for school children as well as a relaxing "meeting room" or company "picnic area" for local business and a "playground" for residents and visitors alike that is unprecedented in all of Eastern Ontario.
